You do not need to provide any personally identifiable information to visit public sections of the Site. You can deactivate your account at any time by contacting the Company; see the Contact Information below.  When you deactivate your account, your account will be disabled, but your public comments will remain on the Site.  The Site has no responsibility to take down, remove, or edit any of your public activities or any submissions that are a result of your public activities.

HOW THE COMPANY USES INFORMATION

The Company may provide users with the opportunity to register for services and information delivered via text messaging and other wireless device messaging services (e.g., SMS) and, in the event the Company engages in such wireless device messaging, users are required to provide their consent to receive such information by registering on the Site or via their wireless device.  The Company may require you to consent to the receipt of such wireless device messages in a subsequent confirmation message.  The information requested as part of the online registration process may include your wireless telephone number or email address and your carrier’s name.

You may cancel SMS messaging at any time by following the instructions in the text message or by replying with  STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, END or QUIT.  If you unsubscribe to wireless device messaging, the service(s) will be terminated and will cancel your previous opt-in. You may continue to receive the service(s) for a limited period of time while your cancellation is processed. The Site may include functionality that allows integration with third party sites, including, but not limited to, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social network sites. The Company may allow you to share selected information with those third party sites, and you may be permitted to export information concerning your use of the Site to such third party sites.  Some of those third party services may provide the Company with information to enhance and personalize your use of the Site.  If you submit credentials (e.g., username and password) for a third party website or service during your registration for the Site or in connection with updating your user profile, the Company may receive your information from such third party website or service.

 

DELETION OF, ACCESS TO, MODIFICATION OF, AND CORRECTION OF, YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION 

You may request in writing to the email address listed under the “Contact Information” provision below that the Company delete or amend any personally identifiable information that it holds about you.  The Company will respond to your request and, if applicable and appropriate, will make the requested change in its active databases as soon as reasonably practicable. Because of the way the Company maintains certain services, after you delete your information, residual copies may take a period of time before they are deleted from the Company’s active servers and may remain in the Company’s backup systems.

That person can contact us at the email address in the Contact Us section, and must provide proof that the agent is acting on your behalf.  That may require you to provide us with proof that you have authorized the agent to act on your behalf, and will require that you verify your identity as described above.

 

CHILDREN’S ONLINE PRIVACY

The Site is a general audience site and does not knowingly collect or store personally identifiable information about Site visitors under the age of 13.  If you are a parent or guardian of a child under the age of 13 and believe he or she has disclosed personally identifiable information to the Company please contact the Company in writing at the email address listed under the “Contact Information” provision below.  A parent or guardian of a child under the age of 13 may review and request deletion of such child’s personally identifiable information as well as prohibit the use thereof.

 

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

Residents of the State of California, United States of America have the right to request from certain businesses with whom the California resident has an established business relationship a list of all third parties to which the business, during the immediately preceding calendar year, has disclosed certain personally identifiable information for direct marketing purposes.  The Company is only required to respond to a customer request once during any calendar year.  If you are a resident of California and would like to obtain this information, you can send a written request to the email address listed under the “Contact Information” provision below with the heading “California Privacy Rights.” In your request, please attest to the fact that you are a California resident and provide a current California address.  NOT ALL INFORMATION SHARING IS COVERED BY THE CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS REQUIREMENT AND ONLY INFORMATION ON COVERED SHARING WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE COMPANY’S RESPONSE.

 

RESIDENTS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

The Company is located in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.  If you are accessing this site from within the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) gives you certain rights.  The Company is a “controller” as defined in GDPR.
